JOB SITE ORGANIZATION & SAFETY

Take the time to organize the job site and keep it clean

Place blocks around the building site for ease of access and to reduce walking. Inside, if working from the inside of the structure (This is the common side from which to work) Outside, if working from the outside of the structure. Move bundles of corners to footing/slab corner areas.

It is preferable to construct all window and door bucks before the block arrives. Place it along the wall close to where it is to be installed Have bracing and lumber/materials ready.

Keep cut block organized so it can be used throughout wall construction, reducing waste.

Cleaning the site of waste vs. useable pieces - helps reduce waste.

Keep tools and materials 10 to 12 feet away from the footings to allow room for the alignment and scaffolding systems so you have room to place block and rebar.

SAFETY NOTE: Be mindful of footing dowels as you move materials around the site
