Plan Review

When reviewing plans indicate a Point of Beginning (POB) and work around the plan from that point.

  • Helps reduce the possibility of overlooking items such as windows, doors, and other wall penetrations
  • Provides consistent point of reference
  • Provides reference for linear dimensions

Double check window rough opening sizes

Be sure to calculate “shim” room as needed

Calculate wall alignment on footing/slabReview step footing, gables, pilasters, buttresses and interior wall block requirements.

Determine method of bottom course attachment to footing/slab
