Tools

  • Rebar Cutter/Bender

Saws:

  • Reciprocating Saw – for gable and miscellaneous cuts
  • Keyhole Saw – for small cuts, penetrations and holes
  • Hand Saw – for longer straight cuts, mitered corners in tapered top and brick ledge forms, and non 45° or 90° angels
  • Table Saw – for precise straight cuts, or for projects requiring long horizontal cuts across tops of walls, windows, etc
  • Folding Aggressive Tooth Pocket Saw – for cutting and trimming blocks, wall penetrationsand more
  • Electric Chain Saw– • with depth stop – for cutting wire or plumbing channels
  • Skil Saw - • for cutting wood bracing and

Materials

  • Rebar Wire or Plastic Zip Ties– for wiring bars securely into precise positions, such as lintels
  • Wood – for window and door bucks, usually treated, check local codes
  • Sleeves - for wall penetrations,( PVC, steel, wood, Etc.) (Consult with local codes and subcontractor preferences)
  • Glue, Foam Gun or Low Expansion Foam Adhesive - for gluing and filling gaps, to secure bottom course (foam compatible)
  • Anchor Bolts, Nuts and Washers – for bucks, plates and ledgers
  • Bracing/Alignment System – approximately 1 set per 5 to 6 linear feet.
  • Miscellaneous Lumber - for alignment, scaffolding system
  • 1 ⅝ course deck or drywall screws for alignment, scaffolding system
  • 3” course deck or drywall screws for misc.
  • Tap Con – for anchoring kick plates(if used)
  • String Line – check wall to ensure it is straight
  • Chalk Line – for wall layout on slab or footer
  • Scaffold Planks – OSHA approved
  • Duplex Nails - for scaffolding/alignment systems
  • Felt-tip Markers – assorted colors
