3.32 BACKFILL REQUIREMENTS

Do not backfill a basement wall until –

• Concrete has cured at least 7 days
• Support for top of wall has been installed
• Flooring system is in place and anchored to wall
• Waterproofing materials installed
• Footing drainage line installed
• Backfill material should be free of construction debris, sharp objects, and large rocks
  
• Backfilling protective material is recommended to protect water proofing
