Take the time to double-check the wall before you pour! Plumb and straighten all the walls before pouring.
TIP: Cover all the top edges of the wall with something removable - IF building another story.
Are the T-walls braced on top of the T?
Do the plans match the layout?
Are all the walls plumb and square?
Is the string line in place along the top perimeter?
Are the tops of the walls level?
Is the bottom course secure with foam adhesive or kick plates?
Are all the bucks in place plumb and square?
Are all the bucks securely attached and braced?
Are any cuts and weak spots reinforced with proper bracing?
Are all the sleeves for wall penetrations in place and glued securely?
Are all the anchor bolts for interior walls in position?
Is the top course of horizontal rebar in place, if required?
Are all the vertical rebar in place and securely fastened?
Are the floor ledgers in place and securely fastened?
Do you have plenty of anchor bolts/straps for the top of the wall?
Do you have spare wood for reinforcement should weak spots appear?
Do you have the building department’s inspection and approval?
Is the job site clear for the concrete truck and crew to work?
Did you order the required amount and proper mix of concrete?
Did you order additional concrete equipment if necessary?
Are top plates ready for installation during the pour?
Are the bolts installed in the top plates?
Are there 2 to 3 - 5 gallon plastic buckets on hand in case needed?
Are there a couple of shovels available?
It is important you have 5 to 6 people to assist with the pour.
